Summertime Grillin’

One of the BEST parts about summer is grilling out. I love it because there is no mess. Marinade me some chicken and throw some corn in aluminum foil and you have a meal! Ha!

The ever so smart people at Red Gold have some wonderful ideas for grilling with tomatoes! Who would have thought? It’s such an easy way to spice up a burger!

This is a recipe I would like to try via their website.

SPICY TOMATO BURGER

    Ingredients
    1 pound lean ground beef
    1 (14.5 ounce) can Red Gold® Petite Diced Tomatoes With Green Chilies, drained very well or 1 (14.5 ounce) can Red Gold® Petite Diced Tomatoes W/Lime Juice & Cilantro, drained very well
    Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Combine the ground beef and RED GOLD® PETITE DICED TOMATOES WITH GREEN CHILIES in a bowl.  Form into patties and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Place on grill and cook to desired temperature.
  • Option: For an added kick put a slice of pepper jack cheese into the center of each patty.

      Suggested Accompaniments:

  • Serve on toasted bun
  • Red Gold® Mama Selita’s Jalapeno Ketchup or Chipotle Mayo
  • Slices of spicy peppers
