More November and Ear Tubes (Again!)

My fall mantle has been taken over by the girls' school projects and I kind of love it!

The finished dresser! Finally! I kind of LOVE it!

I love catching these girls looking in the mirror. I need to watch how critical I am of myself so they don't pick up those habits!

This picture because I look skinny here. Ha!

This is what non-verbal communication can look like in a marriage. Hahaha
Chris is trying to make a point here that our messy bathroom is because of all MY stuff because his side is spotless. Whatever, Chris!

Parking Lot selfies in the car!

Adley was home with grandma the day before her surgery. Poor thing was so miserable! ;)

We got up so early!

Playing in the waiting area with the interactive board.

Waiting...

After she had a little drugs in her...

She was so irritable afterwards. I could not make her comfortable in recovery. Finally, we left and she calmed down. I think she just wanted out of there.

She wasn't too happy at home either.

A nap helped perk her up!

And a few hours later she was good to go! Ear tubes what?

November Part 3

Parent Preview Night at Dance

Closing on our NEW house!!!!! I promise he was more excited than this!

Toy Room is insane right now!

A cute idea I have for my laundry/utility room!

A cute idea I have for a potential headboard!

The girls and I at McDonald's one weekend morning while Chris was hunting!

Adley's 1st School Project

One of Chris's deer this season...

Little Miss Adley at the ENT... we had to schedule her SECOND ear tube surgery :-/
She had been acting different all weekend and not sleeping well through the night. Honestly, she slept with me all night and she NEVER does that. Then, Monday morning she woke up screaming her head off grabbing her ear. I was so scared. I have never seen her upset like that. I called into work and got us in to see her ENT.

I started decorating my kitchen. It takes me a while to decorate. I have a certain style (vintage/shabby chic kind of mix) and I have to find the perfect pieces. I had purchased these mason jar measuring cups (the blue) and the cream jar is a cookie jar from Kirkland's!

More toy room madness. I keep telling myself at least all of these toys have a designated place to go!

So a little mom #fail story here...
Kendall's school had a Thanksgiving lunch and I had planned for my parents to go. Chris and I had already taken off for a field trip with her in the fall and we had both used sick and personal days for the girls and the houses, so I just figured my parents would go in our place.
Well... apparently, the Thanksgiving lunch is a big flippin' deal!

Look at the place settings!

And then each class sang songs!

Then the kiddos ate lunch with their guests. Some kids had like 10-12 people there for them. I had no idea it was a full blown program. I would have reserved 20 spots and taken off work.

I cried at school that day when my friend Nikki texted me the picture of Kendall. It actually worked out for a good message for my students. At my school we had our Thanksgiving lunch and I had a ton of kids whose parents either did not RSVP or did and then didn't show. I told the kids that I had to miss Kendall's to be with them and teach them. I hope it made some of them feel better.

One of my night class night's so Chris took the girls out for spaghetti...

Here I am finishing that dresser again!

Because they are so cute!

Crazy November Part 1

There is so much to catch up on so I will do this in a series. We sold and purchased a home in November, moved, and a bunch of other stuff so here it goes...

Halloween 2015

We took the girls over to my grandparents to visit and trick or treat. We missed trick or treating in a neighbourhood but it was kind of nice to have a low key holiday. Plus the girls had been to several Halloween trunk or treats and they did not need any more candy.

Remember this piece of furniture I attempted to strip and finish a few years ago? If not, go HERE. Well while packing up the garage I decided to take one more try at refinishing and used some chalk paint. More pics to come!

These are the bar stools in my new kitchen. Since we have access to the house before we move in I decided to complete a few projects over there one day. I really love the idea of making them cheetah print stools. Here was my inspiration board.

And here is how they turned out!

I have an idea to add curtains to my new pantry.

And they sell chalk paint at Walmart. I like the blue kind I purchased from Home Depot better for the dresser.

But it didn't stop me from painting something. I still need to add another coat and wax this but I will get to it!

The girls shower curtain came in.

I have all the old shutters from the closets at my parents house. I'm thinking about trying this one day.

Last picture of my long hair before I cut it off. :(

The front of the new house.

My hair all chopped off.

The girls hanging out with our neighbour Laiken. We are going to miss her!
