What does it look like when you decide to put your house up for sale?

We purge! And pack! I DE cluttered each and every room in our house so it would show better.

Makes a difference right????

We bought a pressure washer and some sealer and went to town on the patio and porch!

We went to LOWES a lot!

Chris and my dad switched out our 1960 porch columns! Finally!

I think it really opens up the porch and makes it look more spacious! The sealer is beautiful too!DSC_0894

And we ate at Skyline because it’s right next to Staples which is where we printed our flyers!

7 Years!

Today Chris and I have been married 7 years. It’s weird because one hand it’s gone by really quickly, and then on the other, I don’t remember ever not having Chris in my life. That’s a good thing, most days! Ha!

A few days ago we went on a spontaneous overnight date. Chris and I have gone out to eat alone without kids ONCE in 2015. Yes, people! 1 time this year. So we desperately needed 24 hours to just be a couple. n

We went to this little town about 2 hours away called Nashville, Indiana. It was a small cutesy, touristy town. Everything closed at 5 and opened at 10. We were a little bored that evening and next morning, but it was fun exploring somewhere new together and having some alone time. So we weren’t that bored… Winking smile

We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast called Artist Colony Inn. It was right in the middle of town and was clean and spacious.

Selfies before dinner!

Everything but 3 bar/restaurants in town closed at 5. Ha! It was a Thursday night but still, we thought we might have something to do. I don’t ever drink but I tried a strawberry beer and had a margarita because I was so bored. Ha! Chris always loves when I get a little tipsy too. I get really funny and laugh a lot. We walked to a convenience store after dinner so I could have an ice cream.

The next morning we got our free breakfast at our B&B and it was awesome. We then decided to walk around. Here is a better picture of our B&B from the street. We quickly realized a) nothing was open at 9 am and b) we were the youngest couple walking the streets. Ha!

So we made reservations to go ziplining at a nearby attraction and took a nap in our room before checking out.

I wasn’t nervous at all and I hate HEIGHTS! It was really fun! I honestly think I was just enjoying doing something fun with Chris that I didn’t care what it was! He might get me to jump out of a plane one day, who knows?

Afterwards, we found a cute sports themed restaurant for lunch and bought souvenirs for the girls. We thought about shopping some more, but we were kind of over the place!

We did stop for pedicures on the way home. This is our anniversary tradition to do together!

I really enjoyed time alone with Chris and would like to do an overnight date sooner than our next anniversary! Love ya babe!

Snowmaggedon

I haven’t worked in 9 days! 9 DAYS!!!!

We got some snow last weekend and then we had some frigid temps, so school was cancelled all week. And it was amazing! We did not leave the house for 5 days and it was glorious.

Here is a glimpse of what we did…

Days 1 and 2 were a bunch of fun. The snow is pretty and we have enough m&ms to last a few days so we love the snow.

Then it gets old and we get a little stir crazy. We visit across the street and do some home staging. Ha!

I even made Kendall practice writing because she was watching too much TV and missing school all week.

And Friday we HAD to get out of the house! So we did. And we bought a treadmill. Thank you tax refund!IMG_2317  IMG_2326

And this weekend has been fun too!

IMG_2333 IMG_2334

The girls and I hit up SAMS club solo today and they were so good!

Like our Mommy & Me Frozen scarves? My sister makes them. Message me if you’re interested!

Tomorrow I am prepared to go back to work. I really am over the snow days. I wouldn’t hate having more family time though, they are pretty fabulous!

And to justify being a teacher and getting snow days, I did some teacher work too. Lesson planning, report carding, and some optimistic pinteresting… Ha!

Iphone Dump

Adley tried spaghetti! She didn’t like it at all. ;)

IMG_1992

#tht Chris and I before we were married in the home I had just bought! Fun fact: We did not live together before marriage. Chris moved in after we bought the house and he was forbidden to use our wedding shower gifts.  IMG_1993

Kendall has been loving having her nails painted and me braiding her wet hair. She has the prettiest waves the next morning!

 IMG_1999 IMG_2002

Love our mornings together! I always put cereal or whatever breakfast Kendall had in a ziplock “to-go”. Well Adley thinks it’s the coolest thing ever if I get her a bag of cereal too. In fact, she will hold on to it for a few hours after I drop her off!

IMG_2017

I should not admit this, but I’m going to. We live directly across the street from my parents property. In the mornings, I don’t buckle Adley in all the way because it’s so cold and my dad always comes right out to get her. Well, not anymore. Girlfriend wiggle out of the parital buckle and stood up on the way across the street. I was literally holding her with my right hand and driving with the left. Scary!

Playing together at Grandma’s :)

A few weekends ago when I was at the audition, Chris took the girls out to Skyline Chili. So sweet! He sent me these pictures. I about died when I saw Adley’s hair and he always dressed Kendall in Kentucky gear. Smh

The next day, I took Kendall to get a hair trim. She amazes me how grown up she is about these things. She climbed right up and was so polite.

 IMG_2127

Later, we went to a birthday party for one of her friends at school and Kendall was so comfortable. She sat up there with the other kids and sang Happy Birthday. They also had a enormous jump-jump with a slide. So fun! IMG_2133
