31/32 Weeks, New Kitchen Island, Clothes, & a Playdate

Today I had my 32 week baby appointment for Adley! I'm about 31 weeks and 4 days and I am measuring perfectly. Adley's heartbeat was in the 140s and she was moving around during the entire appointment! I talked to my doctor about braxton hicks I have been having and what to do about my no sleep situation. She said I could take something to help me sleep but I think I just need Kendall to sleep all night. Ha! I go back in 2 weeks and then every week after that.
This is me a few days ago:

My brother made me this beautiful kitchen island. Isn't it pretty? I just LOVE it! It was completed before my pampered chef party Friday night so all my guests were able to enjoy it as well.

I just love this picture of Kendall. My mom and sister bought her some clothes and we kept wanting her to try on this cute little cape jacket. I had to bribe her with some Hershey kisses but her look is priceless! I wish I could pull this look off!

Saturday it snowed and our buddies Tara and Caleb came over to be lazy with us. I snapped this picture of K &C lounging in between the ottomon and couch and snacking on some cereal. SO funny!

Sunday was glorious! I woke up at 5 am worried and thinking about random things. Like getting a spot on my dog checked out and if the smoke detector batteries need to be replaced. Seriously? I even created several blog posts to schedule in the next few weeks. Ha!

So around 7ish I decided to get dressed and head out before my family woke up. I went and bought a newspaper (for the coupons) and a hot chocolate (for me) and hit up Target right after they opened at 8 am. I shopped until a little after 10. I looked at everything!

I purchased some stuff for me, the house, Kendall, and the baby. I was shopped out but I enjoyed the ME time!

We went out for lunch as a family and then had a lazy day at home. Kendall had been begging me all weekend to "go through baby clothes" so we looked through all the baby socks I kept.

I think Ms. Adley is going to do ok in the sock department. I was happy to find legwarmers, tights, mittens, and hats in the collection too. How I love having girls!!

Valentine’s Day decor and BIG Girl Bed

We had a great weekend at home doing chores, homework and whatever else that needed to be done. The highlight of our Saturday (besides going to Kroger) was decorating Kendall’s room for Valentine’s day. I always hit up the Dollar Tree and the Target $1 spot for holiday themed items. I love the window cling decals they have for each holiday at the Dollar Tree. Kendall loves hanging them up on her window and she will show them to anyone who comes over!

I found these cute little heart garlands at Target.

Kendall put the stickers on and then when picked out a place to hang it in her room. It looks so cute, I might leave it up all spring. :)

I had this bright idea to convert Kendall’s crib into a toddler bed. She was SO EXCITED. Actually, excited may be an understatement. You can tell from this picture she was not going to stay put. She is fascinated with getting on and off her bed.

I purchased a safety rail just in case we need it, but she managed to stay on her bed during her nap and sleep yesterday. We have problems putting Kendall to bed at night because she wants to go in our room. Part of me thinks it’s because she felt confined in her crib. Girlfriend can open her door, so we are going to start putting a baby gate up at night so she can’t wonder the house if she wakes up.

I don’t think I blogged about this, but a few weeks ago I purchased a Twin headboard on clearance from target.com. I am saving that for when we transition Kendall into a big girl room. I think the toddler bed will do just fine for now!

I saw this mirror on Pinterest and knew I had to make it for Kendall.

This project cost me $2 (crepe paper and princess decals… Dollar Tree) because I already had the mirror and glue gun. It was a little time consuming making the crepe rosettes, but I just made some on and off all day Saturday. I LOVE how it turned out and it matches her room perfectly!

Bathroom Updates!

So I’ve been all anti-home decor these days because a) Kendall and b) my hubby needs to be involved and he’s super busy until graduation. However when I come across a small bargain to help me spruce up a room I can’t resist.
Last night I was at Target (where else?) with Kendall and my sister and I found two cute items marked down along with several clearanced V-day things!

I decided the shower curtain would go in our bathroom and the little bath tins would go in Kendall’s.

I will get a new rug for this room… maybe something plain and slate grey? I’d like the husband to paint (maybe tile the floor?) this room too!
Here is a picture of Kendall’s bathroom now.

Her baby bath is sitting in the tub and all my makeup is on the vanity. I want to keep with the floral theme but dress it up a little bit more. Ideas?
I may just use my $1.24 french tins to house her bath soaps and accessories somehow.
I also love how I did all this in the matter of time it takes for Kendall's little lamb seat to play music and now it’s like I have a new bathroom!

Weekend & Target Shopping

Happy Monday!! This weekend was very relaxing for me. Friday night I went with Chris to his work's softball tournament. There was a girl I went to high school with watching her husband too so it was nice to have someone to sit and talk with.
Saturday I ran some errands and got the house ready for the carpet cleaners. I was so excited to finally have this checked off my to do list. They did a great job cleaning the carpets and our living room furniture but now I think it smells funny. I hope it's just me or the cleaning scent goes away soon. Since everything was damp Saturday night we headed over to my parents to hang out. Wilson came too and rode with Chris on the way there. Zoom in on this picture and you can see his head sticking out of Chris's car and his tongue hanging out. I was cracking up the whole way there! He loves having his face in the wind!!
Sunday I ran some more errands and visited Chris for a short minute at the softball field. It's hot enough walking to and from your car so there way NO WAY I was chilling in the heat at the ball field!
I bought a few new things for our home instead from at my favorite store - Target!
Organic white sheets After 2 years of marriage we are down from like 5 sets of sheets to 2. I still have all kinds of odd numbered pillowcases but I like when everything matches so I bought another set because they were on sale for $30! Woohoo!
I could not find a picture of this table cloth from their website but here is a picture of it from my phone. It has a bunch of pretty green, yellows and blues. It makes me want to take down the wall decor we currently have in there!
I love Target! I could spend hours there. They have such nice/cute things for affordable prices! I hope Kendall loves Target as much as I do because she will spend alot of time there with me!!
