Busy Weekend with Movies

I'm so sleepy this morning but I figured I should update this thing before I forget what happened this weekend.
Friday we had an insurance person come over to give us physicals needed for our life insurance policies. I feel so grown up having a life insurance policy. I joked with my dad that I thought my husband was trying to "off" me and if anything happens to me remember this conversation. I'm so morbid. But honestly as my favorite radio show host, Dave Ramsey, says life insurance is the best thing you can do for your family. With a baby on the way we need to get our ducks in a row!
After the lady left we went out for some pizza and picked up a few red box movies.
Hot Tub Time Machine (kind of dumb)
& She's Out of My League (kind of cute)
Saturday we were up super early for our Marathon Baby Class. The class covered all sort of topics including signs & stages of labor, induct, c-section, pain management options, taking care of mom after delivery, taking care of newborn and breastfeeding. The class also included a tour of Labor & Delivery and the Couplet care/Mommy & me Postpartum areas. They also had a Pediatrician come in to speak. I really enjoyed the information although it was a really long day. I'm glad Chris and I were able to do this together. I love the hospital where we will meet Kendall and feel very confident about choosing this facility. When we were walking on our tour we passed a few newborns - they were so sweet! I can't wait until we meet our bundle of joy!
After our class Chris showed me where he recently installed a sprinkler system. I'm so proud of my hubby! He is so handy!
Speaking of my hubby I'm not sure if I mentioned this last week but he passed his Praxis II Exam. This is the most difficult of all the teaching exams because it's based on your content area in which you will be teaching. Chris will be teaching Secondary Education Biology and he said the test was very difficult. Some people take it more than once. I'm so proud of him!! He actually starts school today. It will be his last fall semester with intentions of graduating in the spring!!! Go Chris!
Back to Saturday - we didn't really do much that evening. We were pretty wore out from sitting in our class all day so we had dinner and installed the carseat in my car! Ha! We also returned our Redbox's (I'll be damned to pay another night's rental!) and got some coke's from McD's! That's my kind of date - Ha!
Sunday I went with my parents to a family reunion. It's my grandpa Joe's side of the family - Harrison - it was held at a pavillion at Nolin Lake. It was a nice time of visiting and eating. I'm pretty sure I tried every single dessert that was available! It was very hot so it didn't last too long. Afterwards I (finally!) got to see my parent's lake property they purchased a few months back. I cannot wait until they build their lake house - I have a feeling we will be there most weekends during the summer! I just love the lake!
I was pretty pooped by the time I got home yesterday. The heat is really starting to take a toll on my pregnant body! Chris went somewhere with his dad so I watched another movie - The Last Song. I usually read Nicholas Spark's books before I see the movie but I didn't with this one. It was a good movie with a typical Nicholas Spark's ending - I didn't really care for Miley Cyrus but she wasn't terrible. About this time Chris came home and we watched True Blood and called it a night!
All in all I think we had a great weekend! I have a busy week ahead of me as I prep for our neighborhood yardsale Saturday. I've decided to go crazy and get rid of tons of stuff!!! It may be only chance to declutter and make some $$$ before baby!
Before I sign off I'd like to wish my cousins Rebecca a Happy Birthday today!
Have a Great day!
P.S. I'm 31 weeks pregant today. I will post how that's going later this week!

New Appliances & Movie

Greetings! In an effort to blog more... I have decided I need to add more pictures. I love reading blogs with pictures so my blogs should incorporate them!

Remember a few weeks ago when I talked about our clothes dryer biting the dust? Well here are our new beauties!

You know you're a married woman / expectant mommy when a new washer and dryer make you smile!!!
And the greatest thing about them is they are so quiet! During the first load I kept making sure they were still running. My old ones were just noisy!
I had fun catching up on laundry on Saturday but that quickly changed back into prego laziness by Sunday! I need to make my laundry room more of a happier place to be... it is small so we can't do much but I know we'd like to eventually install some cabinets above to add more storage!

How do you make your laundry room a more cozy room?

I went and saw the movie The Back Up Plan with my prego buddy Tara. It was so cute! I mean of course it was cheesy, predictable and not academy award worthy but it was perfect for 2 pregos to watch. Or anyone to watch if you just want a good chick flick. Plus I love me some Jennifer Lopez and she has not done alot of movies recently (she had twins and competed in a triathalon) so I had to support her!

Snow Day!

Blogging from my living room couch in my pajamas has got to make the top of my list. Having chocolate chip ready bake cookie dough on hand when you clearly cannot drive to the store makes the top too!
This is why I stay working for my dad because he told me on the phone " you don't need to drive on the roads today!" I love my DAD!
Now I'm patiently waiting for my hubby to get up so we can build a snow man with Wilson. I promised a picture of my new hairstyle but it's not happening today. It's a ponytail and no makeup day!
I watched a horrible movie last night. It wasn't that terrible it just did not leave me with anything and I wanted all the stores to come together. I may work out today, I may not. I am maintaining my weight this week which was a real shocker because of all I ate this past weekend. It got me thinking maybe I'm not eating that many calories on a daily basis. Does that make sense?
Well I've got to finish watching Big Love and make some lunch! Have a great day - hopefully you warmly snowed in like me!!!!

It's FRIDAAAAAYYYY!

I love Fridays! :) I love the weekends because I get to do fun things! I'm leaving work early today - a little after 1. I'm meeting C-Rod ( nickname for Chris I gave him way back because he played baseball - get it ARod?) at the house around 2ish. Then we are driving over the bridge to Indiana to get our taxes done. I'm praying for a fat return! I'm excited to see Chris because today is his first day doing observation hours at a middle school. I called him Mr. Ryan all morning. He is going to make a wonderful (& hot) biology teacher!
Any-who after taxes I have got to do some laundry & dishes - my house looks too much like a bachelor pad right now! We don't even have kids yet and we can't keep things tidy!
Then tonight is GIRLS NIGHT! I'm so excited. Jacqueline, Tara and I are going to dinner and then to see DEAR JOHN! I know I'm married and everything but have you seen Channing Tatum's body?? A girl can lust...

Tomorrow is hair appointment day and my roots desperately need it!!! I'm thinking about this for a cut but maybe a little more length and definitely not this bleached blonde probably just my regular highlights/lowlights combo. I just thought this was a really cute cut - I like the long swoop bangs too - I did long swoop bangs back in fall/winter 2008 seen in the picture below with Wilson. Yes he is at my desk at work. Haha - I work for my dad (and it's a construction business not a hospital!) and he behaves really well when he gets to come in!

Sunday is the Superbowl! We are going to a party at Adam & Tara's. I'm making this and this.
Chris and I aren't big pro sports fans - we like college sports more but as far as NFL goes we like the Colts because they are the closest team to where we live. Plus I kind of have this weird crush on Peyton Manning. However I kind of want the Saints to win.
Have a great and safe weekend!! I will try and post pictures of my hair!!!
Are you going to see Dear John?
What are you doing for the Super Bowl?
Colts or Saints?
MOST IMPORTANTLY: What do you think of me getting my hair cut like that?? :)

Morning!

Per my last post... I had a very busy weekend! I spent Friday evening at my parent's spending time with the family. I just love being with my parents and siblings! We have so much fun! Saturday I had to go into the office for a bit and then I had an MK appointment. Sat. evening was a blast!!! We went across the bridge (Indiana) to the Montgomery's for a game night with them, my brother and the Simmons. We played Cranium! OMG! That was such a funny game! We played girls vs. guys. It got ugly. The guys won twice - might I add that they had a fourth team member and got alot of bunny questions.

Sunday was my usual breakfast at the parents. I watched a movie in their home theater with my sister . Julie & Julia was such a cute movie! I looked up the blog in the movie online today for fun. It was all real! If you like to cook or blog you should watch this one!!!
I was feeling kind of blah last night so Chris and I had ice cream for dinner. I know - BAD!!! We watched the movie All About Steve. Cute movie - kind of silly but I love Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper is sooo hot!

Tonight my mom is having a pampered chef party. I really don't need anything but it's fun to go make food and learn new recipes. I always buy their seasonal cookbook. They come out with a new one and it's $1.00 and it usually has some easy recipes to make!!
I need some inspiration for cooking this week. It seems like all that's in my fridge is Laura's Lean Beef and chicken tenderloins. Boring.... Also my pantry cabinet is all kinds of rice and things... I need to get creative!
I don't have alot planned for this week. I have a mtg Tues night and Fri & Sat I am going on a retreat. I really really need to get everything organized for my business taxes. We are waiting on a few W-2's so in the mean time I need to get my MK stuff together!!!

P.S. I also changed my banner this morning - you like?
